Something Something Theatre was founded in 2015 by Joan O'Dwyer, Esther Almazán and Whitney Morton Woodcock to present modern plays from the canon and reimagined classics, with a goal of better-than-parity for women playwrights, season after season.

JOAN O'DWYER

Founding Artistic Director

Joan received her MPhil in Creative Writing from Trinity College Dublin at the turn of the century, living in Blackrock with her then-14-year-old daughter.

Esther ​has her Bachelor’s in Theatre Arts and her Master’s in Scriptwriting.

Kathleen was born in the Presidio of San Francisco. At age 21 she joined the Air Force as a computer operator.
